Families don’t thrive in isolation. They thrive when they have people to turn to, places where they belong, access to the resources and opportunities they need, and communities invested in their success.

In rural Northwestern Vermont, many of the pieces of that village already exist- but they aren’t always easy to find, access, or connect. Families, neighbors, businesses, nonprofits, schools, municipalities, faith communities, and service organizations all hold resources, knowledge, and capacity that can make our communities stronger.

Building the Village Foundation exists to help connect those pieces.

We bring people and organizations together, reduce barriers to programs and resources, create pathways to opportunity, and invest in the connections that allow families and communities to thrive.

Our work starts from a place of possibility: What already exists here? What is missing? Who needs to be connected? And what can we build together?
